First law: Law of temporal advantage
If an Africa technology company aims to surpass Silicon Valley counterpart within decade, it must identify and pursue ideas, technologies and opportunities today that counterpart in Silicon Valley will recognize and develop ten years from now.
Second Law: Law of accelerated innovation
If an Africa-born technology startup is founded at the same time as a technology startup within a mature innovation eco-system such as Silicon Valley, Shenzhen and others both pursue the same idea, the Africa-born company must innovate and execute three times faster each year while operating with only one-third of the resources to surpass its Silicon Valley counterpart within a decade.
Third Law: Law of 3x Value
Africa-born companies must strive to deliver 3× the quality, capability, performance, or technological advancement of their counterparts at ⅓ of the price, while achieving the scale necessary to make such extraordinary value economically sustainable.
